Margarita's professional practice focuses primarily on litigation. She has significant experience in administrative proceedings, notably handling disputes before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property, the National Copyright Institute, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency, the Federal Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risk, and the Federal Court of Administrative Justice. She also has solid knowledge of commercial arbitration and arbitration related to other sui generis topics, due to her involvement as an assistant to Arbitral Tribunals, or as counsel in proceedings before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and in ad hoc arbitrations.
Margarita also has noteworthy skills in civil and/or commercial litigation, due to the different proceedings she has participated in related to breach of contract disputes, damages and lost profits claims arising from the violation of intellectual property rights, as well as setting aside, recognizing and enforcing arbitral awards. Finally, Margarita has decades of experience in amparo proceedings, both administrative and civil.
During her professional career, Margarita has advised and/or represented numerous national and international (many of which are Fortune 500) companies.
